Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 July 2026
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how TeachSchool (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and service. By using TeachSchool, you agree to this policy.
2. Information we collect
Account & contact details you provide: your name, email address, phone number, and country.
Payment details: handled by our payment providers (Paystack and Flutterwave). We receive confirmation of your payment and limited billing metadata, but we do not store your full card numbers.
Content you create or upload: the schools, lessons, notes, and materials you add to the Service.
Usage data: basic technical and analytics data such as pages viewed and approximate location, collected to run and improve the Service.
3. How we use your information
To create and secure your account; to provide the Service and deliver your schools to your students; to process payments and pay out earnings; to send you service and transactional messages; to provide support; to detect and prevent fraud and abuse; and to improve the Service. With your consent, we may send you marketing emails, which you can opt out of at any time.
4. Payment processing
Payments are processed by Paystack and Flutterwave. Your card and banking details are entered directly with those providers and are governed by their own privacy policies. We use the country you give us to show the correct price and route you to the right provider.
5. Cookies & analytics
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, and analytics tools (including the Meta Pixel) to understand how visitors use the site and to measure our marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
6. Service providers we share data with
We share data only as needed to run the Service — for example with our hosting and database providers, our email provider, our payment providers, and the AI provider that powers content generation and the tutor. We do not sell your personal information.
7. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
9. Marketing emails
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in each email or from your account settings. We will still send you essential service messages (for example, billing and security notices).
10. Children
TeachSchool is not directed to children, and paid accounts require you to be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where it is, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date.
